Congratulations!  Welcome to the very first step in the construction process of your upcoming project!   We are happy to provide our expertise when it comes to estimating your project needs, because we know that cost and budgeting play a very big role in how and where your decisions will be made regarding the quality, size and needs of your project.

In order to provide the most accurate estimate possible, we need the most specific information that you can give us.  The more we know about what you want, what you need and where you want to focus you budget, the better partnership we can provide throughout the entire construction process.  Prior to completing this application, we strongly encourage you to take a few minutes to view our Gallery, so you may get a better feel for our project portfolio and craftsmanship abilities.

    Estimate Application

Please enter your first and last name.
NDL Construction, LLC services an approximate 20 mile radius from the 17090 zip code.
    Choose one answer.

    Your Specific Project Information

This section of the application relates to the specific needs and requirements of your project.  Please take your time in answering these questions, as missing a feature or item count can make a significant difference in the resulting estimated cost.
Not all features will apply to your project.

In the case that a feature does not apply, please choose the answer that excludes the feature from the estimate, ie. "Does Not Apply To My Project", "Do Not Include This Feature In My Estimate", etc.
Choose the best option that fits your project. If your project includes more that one of these overall topics, (such as a Kitchen Remodel AND a Bathroom Remodel) then you should fill out a separate Estimate Application for each major project.

    DEMOLITION
Demolition refers to the action of removing something existing, prior to the construction of your project.  Perhaps it is the tearing out of an existing kitchen or bathroom prior to the new kitchen or bathroom being installed.  Sometimes, when a customer is on a tight budget, they may choose to complete the demo before the contractor begins the project.  Keep several things in mind when making the decision whether to tackle the demo yourself (and saving a few dollars) or paying the extra money and leaving the mess, the gruntwork and the headaches to the contractor.
    • Demolition is very messy and dusty.  Make sure you have lots of drop cloths, plastic floor coverings, shop-vacs, ventilation masks, gloves and the proper tools to complete the demolition.
    • Demolition can be very time-consuming, especially if you are trying to do it "on the side" while you are perhaps working a full time career.  How long are you willing to be without... let's say, the kitchen.
    • Demolition can be tricky.  You may need to move items, unhook plumbing, turn off electric to areas, etc. to demo certain areas.  Be careful, you don't always know what is behind those walls.
    • Unless it is a small demolition project, be prepared to have a large mess hauled away from your property.

    FOUNDATIONS AND FOOTINGS
Foundations and footings are defined as the base for a structure, such as an addition or a new building.  Although cement block foundation walls are still used quite often, poured concrete walls are the more popular choice for strength and durability.

This section may or may not apply to your specific project.  You must still choose one answer.
    FRAMING
(Framing is defined as any rough-in structural and/or non-structural walls, floors and/or ceilings that need to be built, moved and/or modified as part of this construction project. Framing can reference an addition or new construction project, as well as remodeling walls in a kitchen or bathroom redesign project.)
    ROOFING
Roofing is defined as the covering to any new or existing roof structure.  Roof repairs are also included in this area of the application. Please note that NDL Construction will not shingle over top of existing shingles.  Most often, in roof remodel projects, it is less expensive to upgrade an existing shingled roof to a new tin roof - in lieu of a new shingled roof - saving the labor and haul away costs of removing the existing shingles.
    WINDOWS AND DOORS
There are thousands of types of windows and doors out there.  Help us to narrow down the grade of windows and doors you are looking for.
    ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING
Electrical needs include anything from adding an outlet here or there, to installing a subpanel for your new addition or remodeled room.  Sometimes we may need to move an existing toilet or sink to another area of the room - then again, maybe everything stays where it is.
    WALL COVERINGS AND PAINTING
Most often in residential construction, drywall is the most popular wall covering used to enclose the framing, electrical and plumbing work.  But, sometimes our customers like to dress areas up a bit and choose other options.

If you are on a tight budget, painting is another area where you can weigh the positives and negatives of doing some of the work yourself.  Here are a few things to think about when you are making your decision whether there is value in painting yourself or having your contractor paint for you:
    • Painting is very messy.  Make sure you have lots of drop cloths to cover areas where you don't want to get paint spilled, wiping cloths for easy clean-up and plastic to cover areas nearby.
    • Make sure you have the proper tools for the job.  You'll need painter's tape, brushes, paint cups, rollers and roller covers for each specific texture of wall as well as atleast one per color being used.  Also, you'll need paint trays and tray liners as well as ventilation masks to protect you from harmful paint vapors.
    • You'll need to calculate and purchase your primer and color for your area, as well as a stain-blocker if the walls are dirty or if fresh drywall has been installed.
    • Finally, you need to make sure that you are able to complete the painting part of the project within the time allotted by the contractor.  2-3 coats of primer/paint are usually applied during a project, and this step is done after the demo, but before the final furniture, fixtures, cabinetry, toilets, etc are installed.  You must be ready, willing and able to complete the painting as needed so that the construction project continues to flow without delay.  Also, be prepared for any touchups that might need done at the end of the project.
    KITCHENS
Kitchens are one of our favorite areas of the home!  It's the room where so many family memories are made - it's the hub of the household!  That's why it is so important to have an experienced contractor to handle the many steps that are included in a great kitchen project.  There are tons of options when it comes to kitchens... and the cost of a kitchen project varies greatly from project to project - it's all about what YOU want.  Let's get a feel of what is important to you:
    BATHROOMS
